Chicken and Sausage Alfredo

This Chicken and Sausage Alfredo is ridiculously easy and disappears in mere seconds. If you have leftover chicken it’s even quicker to throw together. This is not necessarily authentic Alfredo this is for those nights when you want the comfort of creamy pasta but don’t want to put real pants on. 
3 tblsp Butter or Olive Oil 
3 cloves Garlic minced 
1 cup sliced smoked sausage 
2 chicken breast sliced( or 1 1/2 - 2 cups cooked chicken) 
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning 
2 cups of heavy cream 
1 tsp corn starch
4 cups cooked pasta 
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese( try to use the good stuff) 
Heat at butter or oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until aromatic( about 30 seconds). Add sliced sausage and sauté for a couple minutes. Add chicken and cook through(about 5 minutes). Add seasoning and combine. Mix heavy cream and cornstarch together and add to pan. ( You can skip the corn starch my kids just insist on a thicker creamy pasta) . Stir and bring to a simmer. Simmer and stir until mixture slightly thickens. Add pasta and combine. Turn heat to low and add Parmesan cheese. Stir until Cheese is melted. Serve! It’s not going to win any beauty awards but damn is it good.
