Italian Seasoning

I have a great love for making my own spice mixes but this one did not come from love, it came from hate. Some people hate cilantro for others it's brussels sprouts. For me - The greatest offender is Rosemary. I hate rosemary. Whenever it's the main herb in a dish that's all I can taste. Rosemary chicken makes my stomach turn. I hate when I bite into something expecting to love it and that vile herb hits. It's like someone came and forcibly shoved a whole stalk of rosemary in my mouth. I know there are many lovers of rosemary out there, and you keep being you. I just can’t stomach it. I have a physical response to the stuff. Every once in awhile it is put in with such a light hand I don’t notice but that is not very often. So my version, if you haven’t figured out yet, does not include rosemary. If you are one of the lovers of Rosemary just sub it for another herb or add it to the party. Now, I just mix all the herbs together and put in airtight container. You can get a spice grinder and grind them into a fine dust but I really don’t think that's necessary or makes too much of a difference. Go crazy with this one. Switch the amounts of your favs for your least favorites. Add more pepper to give it a punch. This seasoning is one you will use often when you get your personal measurements down.
